What kind of structure are you looking to renovate and/or restyle? If not new, what is the year it was built? What is the scope of the work? What challenges are you experiencing that you wish to address? How would you want a designer and project manager to be involved?

Are you open to interior styles and to a designer directing the style of your home?

To maximize your investment and our time together, designers need a lot of freedom to develop and direct style based on the architecture/era of the space, our aesthetic and knowledge, and what you love. Often, our clients are surprised that they are way more satisfied with the style direction we develop compared to what they envisioned initially. If you have a very definitive style you want executed no matter what, we can discuss on our introductory call.

In what city is your home/the project located?

How many square feet in the design project?

If this is a remodel or new-build project, please share how many square feet will be part of the scope. An approximate square footage is fine.

What is your approximate budget?

Disclosing budget numbers immediately can feel strange, but it directs so much about how we proceed. At the basic level, it is an immediate qualifier of service offering and from there we can access budget to square feet in scope to determine fit. Note that styling packages do not have budget minimums, and we can more easily work within tighter budgets. If you're interested in one of our packages, a very rough project budget estimate on furniture/finishes is sufficient.

Does this budget include the design fee?

For full-service design, Sparrow's project budget minimums are $125,000 for renovation and $25,000 per room for furniture/accessories only, before the design fee is assessed.

What is your timeline?

Sparrow typically schedules new full-service projects 90-120 days from agreement signing, and we do not schedule start times in November or December. The design and planning phase for full-service design takes an average of 6 months before we prepare for permitting and construction. If you need design support more quickly, our consultation packages can be wrapped up in 1-2 months and can often begin much sooner than full-service!
